Electron Energy also designs and manufactures neodymium iron boron magnets and magnetic assemblies. Neodymium iron boron (NeFeB) is the highest energy product permanent magnet material that is available commercially.

NeFeB magnets we offer have a maximum energy products exceeding 48 Mega Gauss Oerstead (48MGOe). These magnets have a limited temperature range and typically require a protective coating to prevent environmental corrosion. EEC’s position as a rare earth magnet producer provides us with strong fundamental background to assist our customers in the use and application of NdFeB magnets in magnetic circuits. EEC has contributed to the state of the art in NdFeB technology through its recent work in the research efforts which led to the development of ToughNEO^TM.
